Golf at the Community
Los Delfines Golf and Country Club opened in 1999 on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, with views across Bahia Ballena (Whale Bay). It is a nine-hole parkland course played twice for a full 18. From the back tees, the round measures 6,374 yards at par 72, with a 72.8 rating and 128 slope. The terrain rolls gently, and water hazards and well-placed bunkers mean you have to plan your shots rather than just swing hard. The closing hole is a short par 3 to an elevated green squeezed between bunkers. Scarlet macaws fly overhead thanks to the club’s release program, so you will have an audience for every missed putt. Practice facilities include a putting green, a chipping area, and a practice bunker. Carts and rental clubs are available, and the course is open year-round to residents and visitors with advance tee times.
